NCC HUB 5: CHALLENGES WITH IMMORTALITY

While some have literally shut the doors of their hearts, quite a good number of sons of God are also still very skeptical about the truth of their immortality in Jesus Christ. Until they discover the challenges to their belief, they can never embrace and enjoy it. The first challenge is that people are overly used to death. Humanity is so used to death that dying appears to be better than rising to lay hold on their immortality in Jesus Christ. Secondly, the fear of death is a challenge to accepting their immortality. Some are in the deceptive perception that when they talk about deathlessness then they will die very soon. Thirdly, the comfort of the masses makes others refuse to publicly associate with their immortality even though they have seen it as truth in the scriptures (John 12:42). Furthermore, many are just holding on tightly to their theological doctrine and that of men, and therefore, not allowing the inspiration of the Holy Spirit into their hearts. Finally, the adversary of the kingdom interferes with their understanding of that truth because it is the final stroke to break (2 Corinthians 4:4).
