The EmancipatorBE A THANKSGIVER
Giving thanks always for all things unto God and the Father in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ;
— Ephesians 5:20
Every species is in a state of being, which has its normal routines. In Christ, we have been raised to a heavenly state of being with our normal daily routines such as fellowshipping, meditating, giving, etc. that make us fit and functional as members of the divine class. One of such important norms of our lives is giving thanks. Thanksgiving is simply an expression of one's appreciation for a valuable thing received, experienced or one's new state of being. The need-consciousness and the unpleasant experiences of many have made thanksgiving an impossible routine, though the one in Christ is a thanksgiver by nature. Our opening verse shows us that it is God's expectation that we are in a permanent state of giving thanks. And not only is it God's expectation, but it is also His perfect will for us (1 Thessalonians 5:18 TPT). Just as "human" routines make them fit in their societies, cultivating your thanksgiving state will speed up the manifestation of your divine nature. This week, we will look at a few reasons why you should be a thanksgiver all your life.
Dear Lord, I thank You for this unveiling of my thanksgiving nature. I am positioned by Your power to receive and become all that You have for me in Jesus Name.
